More About Us
The people in Predaptive have been working together for over 5 years, many of our clients have been with us even longer. It’s only in 2003 that we decided to give our work a higher profile and create a distinctive identity for what we do.
We try to work and live as ‘Predaptively’ as possible that means doing the following:
- Putting our clients first. We know that service starts with getting the basics right, first time. Only then look can you do the extras. Customer delight is founded on the fundamentals done faultlessly (it goes without saying), followed by some pleasant surprises. We are passionate about serving our clients in this way.
- Doing work our clients are proud of. We want our clients to succeed from our contribution. Our research, experience and involvement ensures that our work will positively impact on your organisation.
- Being obsessed about context. At all stages we understand the project within the context of the need, the client, the marketplace, the macro-economic drivers, the people, etc, etc. By constantly referencing the need against the context, we will never sell a client anything - they will only buy what is absolutely right.
- Doing work we’re proud of. We complete our best work when we are enjoying a true partnership with our clients. Going through the motions is something we simply do not do.
- Having a point of view. We are always actively listening. However, if we see or hear anything that contradicts with our point of view and experience, we will say so and engage in a vigorous debate. That sometimes means challenging our clients (interestingly there seems to be a relationship between regular challenging and it becoming a long-term relationship). It also has occasionally means declining work because we believe we wouldn’t deliver value doing it in the way the client wants, or its approach doesn’t sit well with us ethically.
- Keeping our learning ahead of our clients. We have long-term relationships with our clients, based on mutual learning and growth. Many of our clients move so fast that unless we keep ahead of them we will fail to add value making the need for our learning to be even more vertical imperative.
- Trying not to take ourselves too seriously. The work is hugely important to us but when we’re working intensively with a client to meet a deadline or the project is at a key phase, or something has changed at the last minute, a sense of humour goes long way.
Why The Name Predaptive?
What we do couldn’t be effectively summed up in one word so we needed to create one, hence Predaptive:
Predaptive prē´-đap´-tiv adjective & noun. To change things for the better, to change ahead of the competition, a special organisation, someone who makes a real difference, world class, leader, practical. pre, before (1) in front, (2) before in time, in advance (3) to the highest level, surpassingly [L. prae, in front of] daptive, from adaptive to make suitable, changeable [L. adaptare-ad to fit]
For a life around the corner is our strap line and something that attempts to sum up the way we work.
The future can’t be predicted only anticipated and prepared for.
Predaptive Organisations are preparing for that future by getting things right today. Also a life around the corner implies more than doing the numbers, or hitting the targets.
Predaptive People look at the more rounded picture, they input into their own future by engaging with today.
